Radio's & Weather
N0AA Weather is the Now and intermediate future weather. IT is very accurate and updated every few hours unless something sever has developed for your area and the surrounding areas. We depend on NOAA & The National Weather Service for updates. When we are out on long river trips we need to know what's happening 80 to 100 miles upriver from us. Like how much rain feel up there while we are baskin in the sun here, do we have several feet or more of flood waters heading our way?.
Check our Weather Radios, we also have GPS Radios that can transmit your GPS position to another same type radio and vise versa. Nice for lost campers or kids. So Check out Garmin Rino Radios we even have one with NOAA weather..
NOTE: When reading the Radio Range Distance Do Not Believe every thing the manufacturer claims. Some are better than others depending on power watts and receiving antennas. A good rule of thumb is line of sight plus some obstacles. These distance will be more accurate on flat ground or water with a little height like on a flying bridge. We favor Motorola as we have tried them all.
