♦  I prefer locking blade folding knives, with a one hand operation on opening.  They fit nicely in my pocket.  As you may notice most of our folding knives are assisted opening.  Very often while camping you have a knife job but one hand is busy. I like a partially serrated blade as it cuts thru things faster.  I also recommend a knife that has some color to it as it easier to see on the ground or in leaves.
